Motorcycle ride along the Columbia River starting from Priest Lake ID, riding the International Selkirk Scenic Loop and ending up in Coeur d'Alene Idaho 2022-09-09
The Invisibilia podcast discussed Norwegian 'Slow TV'. I decided to make this entire trip all Slow TV videos. This video is the ride for the entire day.
Starting at Priest Lake at the Elkins Resort I travveld back south to meet up again with the Selkirk Scenic loop. Nice day except for the smoke from the fires. Got gas when I arrived on Route 2, continued on Route 2 for a little bit to Route 20 and headed north. Nice ride in the mountains:
And arrived at the Metaline Falls / Nelway Border Crossing. Here you see both the US side and the Canadian side:
As you head north on Highway 6 / 3 and as you ride in the mountains you meet up with the Kootenay River in the city of Nelson, you follow the river and the Kootenay Lake for the rest of the ride in Canada:
Rode down to the ferry crossing at Balfour, Rode across the lake to Pilot bay. Again, a free ferry:
From there it was a turn back south riding all along the Kootenay Lake:
From there crossed the border back into the United states and south to Coeur d'Alene. Ready to get home the next day.
