Visit To Arches National Park and Hiking Delicate Arch Trail 2019-06-08

I didn't turn on the motorcycle GPS, it would have been a repetition of the previous days rides into Arches. We decided to hike to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. If you are going to hike all the way to Delicate Arch HEED the warnings about water. It is a long hike to and back and if it is a hot day you WILL need water. I must have forgotten to bring the small GPS as I don't have a track of the hike itself.

The hike to Delicate Arch is on smooth sandstone, very few plants, open sky. While we hiked during a dry day it might be a slick hike to walk in the rain:

The last stretch to Delicate Arch is a sandstone walkway that, while a few feet wide, has a steep dropoff on one side:

But when you finally get to Delicate Arch it is a fantastic view:

Don't forget to turn around and soak up the view. Vast Semi-Arid desert:

When you return you see the cabin of John Wesley Wolf and his ranch as you approach the parking lot. Simple living:

It was after 7 PM by the time we left the parking lot as you can see from this drive and you can see the sun beginning to set during the drive.

From there we went back to Moab to our hotel.
