Motorcycle Trip Goldendale, WA back Home 2020-05-16
A playlist of all of the videos from the ride from May 13 thru May 16.
The second best day of a trip, for me, is when I have exhausted seeing all the sights and I am getting ready to go home. There weren't many (or any) pictures taken but the ride was HUUUUGE sweeping turns through fields of grass and the semi-arid landscape east of the Cascades in Washington, I love this landscape also. The day was overcast but not much in the way of rain.
After the obligatory cup-of-coffee start at the 'Simcoe Mountain Coffee Company' stand we started out heading north on Highway 97, a nice peaceful ride in this video with graceful non technical turns. A calm ride up and down the mountains with wide open sweeping curves.
Cody suggested highway 821,Canyon Road, nice set of twisties in this video.
Snoqualmie Pass was Overcast in this video, but at the very beginning you first see the Wildlife Overpasses that have begun to appear in Washington State. The route takes you along Lake Keechelus, then to Hyak and the Snoqualmie pass. You then start down the other side to Denny Creek and the video ends.
Finally, it started raining again near the end with a ride through North Bend, at about 1:33 in the video at the stoplight on the right you see the home of Tweedes Cafe made famous on the 'Twin Peaks' TV show and movie series. The very end of the video I ride past Moon Motorcycles which is where I take my Harley, highly recommended.
