A playlist of all of
the videos from the ride of 2025-06-12 to 2025-07-01. Some of the playlist is hours of just riding, i.e. Slow TV videos, some are just short clips.

A videos for the three days ride are in two parts, Winnipeg Manitoba to Regina Saskatchewan, on to Medicine Hat Alberta Part 1 and Medicine Hat Alberta, to the Royal Tyrrell Museum and finally to Calgary Alberta - Part 2. The camera started having issues after this point in the ride.

June 28 - From Winnipeg Manitoba to Regina Saskatchewan

Damn the winds. Fought the winds all day long. Lowered my fuel efficiency from 45 MPG down to the lower 32 MPG or so. If you see windmills you can bet that there is wind on the road. Unless it is a tailwind you will use more fuel.

While travelling through Canada I HAD to stop at a Tim Hortons, this is a huge fast food restaurant that I have only found in Canada. I later found that there are locations on the East coast of the US. Known for their coffee, some patries & breakfast burritoes:

I arrived at Buffalo Lookout Campground near Regina (pronounced 'Reh-JEYE-nah') my campsite and had this cool view of the prairie:

June 29 - Riding from Regina Saskatchewan to Medicine Hat Alberta

Another day of fighting the wind. Ah, such is the adventure part of the trip. And on a Motorcycle a way to lose weight.

When I was planning the trip I was concerned that this portion of the drive would be boring. I have driven across Kansas. Flat. Boring. Straight. Nothing. I was pleasantly surprised to see rolling green hills in Saskatchewan and Alberta, a diverse landscape. While riding across I also saw white 'stuff' piled up on the sides of the road, I knew the snow was long gone, found out that there are Salt flats in Saskatchewan.

When I arrived this was the view from my hotel. Very nice:

June 30 - From Medicine Hat Alberta to Calgary Alberta

When riding from Medicine Hat to Calgary the wind had died down, a nicer ride. Visited the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, Alberta. It has many species of fossils never seen before. VERY busy because July 1 is Canada day and everyone was out being a tourist. The museum dedication and land acknowledgement, Canadians are very good at acknowledging the land that the First Nation's people inhabited:

This is the Albertosaurus female adult, the young juvenile tail is on the right. This is at the entrance to the exhibits in the museum:

This is 'Black Beauty', a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil:

This is a Borealopelta markmitchelli, a very well preserved fossil, the largest and best found so far:

I had shortened the trip for the day so that I could spend a couple of hours at the museum, VERY glad I did as the exhibits there are facinating, telling the story of why this part of the world is so unique for fossils.
