Left Idaho Falls and went to Craters of the moon. Lava everywhere. Just a reminder that this area of the country is still geologically active.
Driving around the Craters Of The Moon is amazing. To think that this volcanic activity in the middle of the United States is only a couple of thousands of years old is amazing, geologically just yesterday.
Everywhere you see the plants JUST STARTING to come back and poke through the rock
The landscape really DOES look like you are on the moon:
On down the road we rode along a straight road until we got to Highway 20. Finally. Some curves.
From there we went to Baker City, Oregon to our lodgings for the night.
