Motorcycle Trips and Pictures

For a sucessfull trip the most important part is to prepare for the trip in advance of the trip.

While listening to the radio I heard a Invisibilia podcast on Norwegian 'Slow TV'. The podcast inspired me to create some Slow TV motorcycle rides:
This is a list of the trips I have taken on my motorcycle ordered by date. Each trip includes a map of the route, a page for each day that shows the ride that day, the altitudes and pictures from that day. Altitudes are useful for predicting what the temperature might be and making adjustments if you have issues with altitudes. The dates are useful as a refernce to weather conditions I experienced:

When I visit national parks I buy a metal National Park Pin to put on my jacket on the collar and down the sleeves. Because the backing on the pin doesn't secure the pin I have a bag of Locking Pin Backs to secure them to my jacket, I *STRONGLY* suggest the locking backs that come with a wrench, but be careful, too much tightning and you might pull off the pin on the back. After attaching I have had a couple of pins break off from the front. I was able to epoxy them back together with JB Weld, that fix is holding so far:

The trips I have taken and plan to document on this page, ordered in places visited, a timeline reminder :-)

All of my scripts for Motorcycle and Hiking trips. GitHub:
GandalfDDI Github

The maps were created by the PowerShell script
Convert_gpx_to_Google_Plot_V1.X.ps1

The script spits out a daily .csv file (instructions for plotting in Google are in the script). To get a plot of the entire path you just copy / paste all the days together into ONE file ... BUT ... if you have more than 2,000 points (which is easy to do for more than one day) then Google won't plot, so run the following script and it will chop out enough intermediate points to make the number of points = or less than 2000:
Convert_gpx_to_2000_points_V1.X.ps1
