Motorcycle Trip Through The Cascades On United States Interstate 90


The road through the Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) is a super slab. 3, 4 or so lanes of traffic. Starting on the West side is the town of North Bend, home of 'Twede's Cafe' of 'Twins Peaks' TV show fame, North Bend is where the a bit of the TV show was shot. Since I-90 is one of the main passes from the heavily populated West to the East side it is best not to travel East on Saturday morning or return home going West on Sunday after noon. Traffic backups are horrendous. If your bike overheats and it is summer you may be pulling over to let your bike cool down.

I-90 offers amazing views of the mountains, long slow curves up a large (sometimes not very smooth pavement) highway past some VERY nice lakes and outlooks. A 8 minute clip from Fall City to North Bend with snow still on the mountain peaks:
